The primary purpose of assessment is to improve student learning. Students need to become adults who take responsibility for lifelong learning and citizenship. Elm Creek School commits to providing appropriate and challenging expectations to ensure that students rise to these challenges and take responsibility for their learning and citizenship.
Elm Creek School values students doing their own work, following timelines and deadlines, giving credit for using source material other than their own, and taking responsibility for these behaviours. Teachers collect evidence of student achievement over time from three different sources: observations, conversations, and student products.
Below is Elm Creek School's Assessment Policy.
